Dear Families and Friends,
This week, and in following weeks, our children will continue to explore Reconciliation through discovery, passion projects and engaging with place at the farm. I have included a prayer today by Aunty Betty Pike as I believe it speaks of truth and hope. We continue to hear the call for reconciliation and love throughout our world.
National Reconciliation Prayer by Aunty Betty Pike
All creation once declared your glory
Your laws were honoured and trusted,
Forgive us our neglect as our country approaches the most critical moment of its history.
Listen to our prayer as we turn to you.
Hear the cry of Jesus, your Son on the Cross.
Help us to replace your national shame,
with true National pride by restoring the dignity of our First Peoples whose antiquity is unsurpassed.
May our faith and trust in you increase.
Only then will our Nation grow strong and be a worthy place for all who wish to make their home in our LAND.
Next week we welcome our Year 3-6 children. We cannot wait to spark joy with you all and reunite through story, care and fun.
Thank you to all our wonderful families for once again tackling the changes, specifically the drop off / pick up zones with patience. Your support has helped us create a safe and calm environment.
Online Prayer Gathering
We will be hosting a Prayer Gathering online on Friday 19th June. A link to a live stream will be shared via FlexiBuzz closer to the date. We will be focusing on the story of the Good Samaritan and how we are tasked with taking action to help all. You are very welcome to join us in a virtual sense!
Prayer for unity and harmony
Our world is in such a state of turmoil and uncertainty at the moment but there are also signs of love and hope. We pray that this love and hope brings harmony to all who are experiencing hate, alienation, racism and prejudice.
Way of the West Planner 2020
In our last newsletter we explained that we would be launching our Social Justice project which aims to collect food and winter wear to donate to Way of the West. Below you will see the types of items we are hoping to collect. Donations can be placed in the boxes we will have in each homegroup space. We have listed some of the items that are most needed at this time but we know that any donations will be very much appreciated. We have also added a short video to the Faith Gathering page to share our project idea. Thank you for your support!
