Hi, my name is Rosie and I am over the moon to be commencing my teaching career as part of the St John’s community in 2022!
As a new graduate teacher, I am looking forward to creating a classroom environment that is full of excitement, passion for learning, faith and of course, fun! My approach to learning puts children’s interests and needs at the epicenter of classroom design, encouraging them to be active participants in their learning journey. I am passionate about embracing diversity as well as setting student well-being as a classroom priority.
Beyond teaching, I enjoy spending my time gardening, playing netball, reading and visiting every new cafe or restaurant Melbourne has to offer! I have a passion for travelling every opportunity I can find, as well as spending my weekends out and about with my loving family and friends.
I cannot wait to meet you all at St John’s Primary School!
Hi my name is Michele. I am so excited to be a Three/Four Hub educator in 2022.
I have been teaching for many years, too many to mention but my passion for teaching has grown over the years. I am passionate about literacy, I am an avid reader and love to share stories with the children. I have some great books to read to the kids this year, I can’t wait!!
I have 2 dogs, Joe & Ruby and I love walking them each day. I have 2 sons Jack & Darcy and a new daughter in law, Jacinta.
I come from a large family so family is very important to me. I am really looking forward to meeting all the children’s families and working with them to create the best learning environment.
Hello! My name’s Mitch, and I am the RE/ Faith leader for 2022, a role I feel extremely honored to uphold for our wonderful community. I am St John’s unrivaled Pokemon specialist, a devout Collingwood supporter, and a Nintendo Switch enthusiast. I have a passion for fitness and health, and can be commonly sighted waking up at the inhumane hour of 4:30am, heading to the gym each morning.
Pictured above is my incredible family: my mum Kyme and my dad Rob, my older brother Rohan, his beautiful daughter Aisla, and my younger sister Rochelle. I feel incredibly blessed to be part of a family where humour, individuality and love thrives.
I feel unbelievably grateful to be in a role where I continually learn and grow, and even luckier to be part of a community I have called 'home’ for the past 6 years. I also feel so privileged to have a passion for what I do: for teaching and learning, and fostering relationships with children. It is with enormous pleasure that I welcome you into a community where we celebrate and acknowledge the uniqueness and flair of every walk of life.
My name is Marty McGauran and I am thrilled to be a member of the St John’s team. Working across the 3/4 & 5/6 levels I’m looking forward to inspiring the children to be enthusiastic and passionate learners, especially when it comes to all things technology. I have a special interest in how technology can shape our teaching and learning through meaningful and expertly crafted experiences. I am also the founder of Inform & Empower Cyber Safety Education which aims to promote healthy and safe digital citizenship throughout Australian primary schools.
Away from school I have an eclectic mix of interests! From gardening to Lego to footy, I enjoy spending time keeping active and hanging out with friends and family.
Hello, my name is Thushari.
I am so thrilled to be continuing my journey in 2022 at St. Johns. It has been a privilege to be part of this amazing community for the past eight years.
I strive to build good relationships with the children, respecting each individual. I also value and understand the diversity and strengths of our beautiful community.
At home, I enjoy cooking, listening to music and spending time with my husband Diran, and our daughters Taneesha and Kiara. We look forward to travelling to Sri Lanka together and creating beautiful memories with our parents and families.
Can’t wait to experience another great year!
